South Korean President Lee to Meet U.S. Business Leader on Economic Cooperation

South Korean President Lee Jae Myung is set to meet with Evan G. Greenberg, chair of the U.S.-Korea Business Council and CEO of Chubb Group, to discuss enhancing economic cooperation between South Korea and the United States. This meeting, scheduled for Thursday afternoon, follows a joint plenary session of the U.S.-Korea and Korea-U.S. Business Councils held in Seoul earlier the same day.

The discussions aim to build on the outcomes of the plenary meeting, which brought together prominent companies from both nations to foster trade, investment, and commercial partnerships. The Korean council operates under the Federation of Korean Industries, emphasizing the significance of these interactions in bolstering economic ties.

During the meeting, President Lee is expected to urge the U.S.-Korea Business Council to play a pivotal role in expanding the economic relationship between the two countries. This engagement highlights the collaborative efforts of both nations to strengthen their trade relations amid evolving global economic challenges.
